Carl zahan born in the year 1934 was one of the greatest astro scientist fro united states. He was a popular writer in the field of science.
He helped to solve lot of mysteries revolving in space, he worked for NASA. Before 1960 most of the scientist and the astro physicist believed the temperature in mercury was similar to earth, he was the first one to find the temperature was around 932 degree Fahrenheit/ 500 degree Celsius. He said the climate in mercury is very dry.
He also told an interesting fact about mercury moon called as titan. He found out the reason behind red cloud of titan is due to the organic rain pouring continuously on the surface. He was also very much interested in extra terrestrial life a pursued his research in this field.
He had a great interest in writing books, one of his famous books “Contact” which was eventually converted to a super hit movie by director Robert jemmicks. He also got the Pulitzer award for ethnic dragon. The book was about how human intelligence new dimension could be? This book was released in the year 1978.
A truly a legend in space science, incidentally this year 2009 is the year of international astro year.
