Marvin Sapp Loses Wife Malinda Sapp To Cancer

MARVIN SAPP, the renowned gospel singer, is mourning the death of his wife MALINDA SAPP who died on Thursday 9th September 2010 after a long battle with cancer, reports the Associated Press. Sapp's record label, Verity Records, confirmed the news but no immediate details were given.
As well as being a wife, MaLinda was also Marvin's manager, and served as Executive Producer on many of his recordings - she was also a professional counsellor and pastor at her husband's Full Life Center Church in Michigan. The couple had three children together.
MARVIN SAPP is one of gospel music's most popular and successful stars. His 2008 song 'Never Would Have Made It' became a record breaker for its duration in the charts, and his recent hit 'The Best in Me' hit the No. 1 spot on Billboard's gospel chart. Sapp's most successful album, 2007's 'Thirsty', debuted at #28 on the U.S Billboard 200, and was certified gold by the RIAA after it sold 500,000 copies - that figure has since risen to 712,000. Sapp's success continued, and in 2009 he was nominated for seven Gospel Stellar Awards, winning all of them
